Pepper carp ordered on the recommendation of the chef .. "best carp in the area". The 10g meat under the breading was also very tasty! - See image. We had the assumption that we must have ordered the fillet extra. In the course of the holiday we talked about the topic several times with locals and can now confirm that fish without meat is not a specialty in Franconia. We carefully informed the waiter about the amount of meat, so he asked us to have schnapps on the house. Then the bill came - 4 x schnapps € 14 !! An experience that we will never forget !!

Although I prefer less German cuisine, this restaurant in Franconia is one of my absolute favorites. Most of the time we are in the beautiful outside area in the inner courtyard. Since we often stop by at the weekend after a short trip to Walberla or the Neideck ruins, it is usually full and a reservation is appropriate. Not only are the wait staff always courteous, the food is just delicious and sufficient. Mainly there is Franconian cuisine but there are also interesting salads, I think there is something for every taste. Or a cake with coffee. The price-performance ratio was completely appropriate. I always like to come back here and recommend the restaurant to anyone who would like a tip from me in this region. Thanks and keep it up!

Good quality of the food but a bit expensive

We went to eat there yesterday in the beer garden. The dishes were delicious. The homemade cake was also great. Particularly noteworthy is the attentive and always friendly service. We would love to come back!

A beautiful inn with typical Franconian cuisine. The food tastes average. The amount was far too little for us. The sauce was probably only made with a sauce binder and had practically no taste. The salad was ... well - there was some greens on the plate. The final coffee was delivered spilled. But at least it was hot. Oh yes: The cutlery only came after several requests. The food was almost cold now. Conclusion: amateurs work here and serve mediocre food. A typical tourist rip-off place. No thanks, we will definitely not come here any more.

We were there during the day. I imagine Franconian cuisine to be hearty, tasty and luscious. The portions were very tightly rationed and the quality of the dishes was mediocre. The service was friendly. No recommendation from me.

A very cozy inn with a clear menu, very delicious Franconian food, great ice cream, a cozy beer garden, very nice hospitality, nice guests, you can go there alone as a woman, you are not viewed discriminatingly, so I'm looking forward to my next visit there .

Short break with a good shovel. Nice service. Even that we were sweaty and came with wet clothes didn't bother anyone. Sharing the Schäufela was also no problem, it even offered an extra dumpling and savoy cabbage. Everything is very good.

We came for Pfefferkrapfen and we got it! Middle size carp was perfect choice for one person. It comes with potato and vegetable salads. Wonderful, delicious, lecker! Nice service, good beer, and they have wine as well. Book table in advance, seems very busy and popular place.

The food was very good, unfortunately the beer was warm. The beer garden is beautiful and shady. The prices are very fair and decent. The service is quick and friendly. In short a place to visit again.

We had a good lunch here before having a walk to Walberla. This restaurant offers a very nice Franconian foods and good beers.

Frankonian food as its best

Really tasty traditional German food! I had the pork and it was crispy with a nice sauce.
